F A Q

how do i book you? Contact me via my contact page. Once I receive your email, I will send you my detailed service information and set up a time to meet or talk on the phone. We will talk about the details of your session and make sure we are a good fit. From there, I will email you a contract to fill out and to return to me with the applicable booking fee--typically 25%, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks prior to the session--to ensure my time for your session date. After that, we'll meet and drink coffee, or beer, or whatever your flavor, and we'll have fun creating an approach plan for your shoot!

When you hire me, I realize it is an opportunity for me to do something I truly love: document real life. I can't thank you enough for enlisting me to capture your life in action as it truly and magically unfolds.

do you have wedding packages? I prefer to charge a service rate which includes my time, editing and a certain value of credits to use towards your final image delivery. All of the additional products that I offer are priced a la carte so you don't have to spend money on something that you might not want. I have separate rates for smaller events and elopements. Please contact me if you would like further information on the services and products I offer.

what do you shoot with? I shoot with professional Nikon equipment and have backups handy at all times.

what happens after our shoot? I will edit down the images to the very best ones and will then re-touch each and every one of those until they reach my (high) standard of awesomeness.

They will then all be uploaded to an online viewing gallery where you can preview the images, share the gallery with friends and family and order prints or purchase digital images. A USB of all of the images and other specialty products (albums + framed prints) are also available directly from me.

when will my images be delivered? Depending on what type of session, I typically work on a 2-4 week turnaround. Two weeks for a portrait session and 4 weeks for a wedding. During the busy wedding season (Jun-Sep), delivery dates are typically pushed back to 6 weeks so that I can ensure I have the proper amount of time to process everyone's images to my standard.  I will specify the delivery date of your images to your online gallery on your booking agreement.

do you take family portraits at weddings? Of course! Simple and efficient is my strategy for these and we'll make a list and rock them out. This way you can spend the most possible time properly celebrating your day and not just cheesing for the camera + me!

do you travel for weddings + shoots? Yes! Travel is my first love! I also love the opportunity to get out and meet new people and shoot in new locations. While Red Lodge, Montana is my home base, I tend to travel quite a bit. If I am in your neighborhood and you are interested in setting up a shoot please contact me! If you want me to travel specifically for your event, I will most likely jump at that opportunity too!

does travel cost extra? It does, though it is usually not much! If you are getting married in Montana, I might ask for lodging for 1-2 nights, depending on your location.  If you inquire about a destination wedding outside of Montana, I will give you an estimate that will include costs for a plane ticket, lodging for 1-3 nights and a car rental, that way you won't have to worry about those costs later.

do you shoot anything other than weddings? Yes! I really enjoy doing lifestyle + portrait shoots that might include me hanging out with just you, or you and your loved ones (furries included), or just your loved ones, to the point where everyone forgets there is a camera there and true colors start to shine. Those are the gems in my book! I will take any opportunity I can get for the chance to add some beautiful scenery, light, and/or adventure into the mix and time we spend together. Also, I will probably break a sweat.
